Description
Circular route, 9 km long, to be completed in 3 hours. Not cyclable, with a medium difficulty due to the ascent (240 m). The route is bi-directional, but we recommend starting it on the path that goes up to the Muela and finishing it on the banks of the Turia, as this way, the information panels will be found before reaching the point of interest. In the initial stretch, the landscape is riverside, with numerous poplars (Populus nigra), white poplars (Populus alba) and junks (Juncus acutus). As we ascend the muela, the landscape changes to low woodland, with aromatic plants such as rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), lavender (Lavandula latifolia) and thyme (Thymus vulgaris), and numerous gall oaks (Quercus faginea) and gorse (Genista scorpius). As we ascend, the landscape transforms into Mediterranean forest, with mainly wild pine (Pinus sylvestris). In the upper part of the route we enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the Turia valley and the clay gullies.
