Nacimiento del Río Mijares. Cedrillas

The river Mijares belongs to the Júcar river basin and has a length of 156 km and a basin area of 4028 km².

Its main tributary is the river Valbona.

It flows into the Mediterranean Sea in the province of Castellón.

   

   

The source of the river Mijares stands out for the great richness and variety of flora that exists in the area, such as, for example, the unique forest of Scots pine, characterized by species such as the creeping juniper that can be found in the Chaparral, an area close to the source of the river Mijares.
