Services:

The Mas de Cirugeda Ornithological Reserve is located in its municipal area, which aims to protect the birdlife of the area, mainly birds of prey such as the Golden Eagle and the Peregrine Falcon, as well as steppe birds.

HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE

   

Church of La Asunción, 17th century. This church has three naves covered with barrel vaults with lunettes and, after its construction, several chapels were added, such as the Olivar chapel, which stands out for its large Mannerist doorway.

This church has also an interesting neo-Mudejar tower with three sections. It has a private chapel of Fray Juan Cebrián from 1634.

Hermitage of San Juan Bautista . It was built in the 17th century and has now been restored. It was the private chapel of Fray Juan Cebrián, a Mercedarian monk from the town.

The covered cross with a wooden roof supported by four octagonal columns.

FESTIVALS AND TRADITIONS

San Blas, in February. Bread and donuts are blessed and then auctioned.

Santa Águeda, 5th March. Mass and dinner for the women.

San Isidro, 15th May. Mass, blessing of the fields and popular meal.

Santa Bárbara, now celebrated on the first weekend in August.

GASTRONOMY

Roscón de San Blas (the one that is blessed and auctioned in February)

A neighbourhood belonging to the Town Council of Perales del Alfambra, it stands out for its beautiful natural environment, full of routs ideal for hiking.

NATURAL HERITAGE

   

El Tormagal route.

Cortados de Los Alcamines .It is a perfect area for hiking, and the PR TE-36 hiking trail passes through it.

HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE

Church of El Salvador. This building, which dates back to the 18th century, has an interesting Serlian doorway sheltered under an arch.

Old Town Hall. It conserves the trading hall opened by three semicircular arches on the lower floor.

Hermitage of the Virgen del Águila, of Romanesque origin and Gothic restructuring. It is located on the road leading to Orrios. Its interior has some interesting sgraffito work from the Baroque period.

FESTIVALS AND TRADITIONS

San Antón is celebrated on 17th January.

15 May: San Isidro

On 15th and 15th August, Nuestra Señora de la Asunción and San Roque.

On 17th August, a pilgrimage to the Virgen del Águila Chapel is held.
