HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE
Ruins of the Castle. It is among the Templar enclaves of Teruel, and is mentioned in the document of annexation of the order of Monte Gaudio, that would be its owners until the dissolution of the same and annexation to the Order of the Temple.
Of the old Templar castle there are few ruins, located on the top of the cliff known as “the Mortar”: a retaining wall, two of closure supported on the cliffs, of which one is whole and the other only a part remains, a wall that seems to have been an interior division and a circular depression that, according to popular tradition, is a well that penetrated the entire mountain until reaching the nearby river Guadalaviar.
Ermita de la Virgen de la Huerta, located one kilometre from the village. It is worth pointing out that the current image of the Virgin is a copy of the old Romanesque carving.
Ermita de la Virgen del Pilar, a small modern chapel located on the other side of the river.
Parish Church of San Juan Bautista, 19th century, in neoclassical style. It has three covered naves, the central one with a half-barrel vault and the lateral ones with a groin vault. The four parts of the tower, the two lower ones square and the upper ones octagonal, stand next to a façade whose simplicity makes it interesting.
Ermita del Barrio de las Minas de Libros, situated next to the old sulphur mines, it is dug into the rock.
A group of 19th century houses at the entrance to the village, it is an urban complex facing the river, with very homogeneous features.
