Almohaja is a village that stands out for its scenic, archaeological and mining interest. Its most distant origins date back to the Neolithic and early Iron Age.

How to get there?

It is 45 kilometres from Teruel on the N-234 or the A23, exit on the local road at Santa Eulalia. See Map

NATURAL HERITAGE

Fauna: The mountains of Almohaja are inhabited by rabbits, hares, partridges, wild boar, deer, roe deer, etc.

La Hoz, located among the ‘Rodeno’ stone. There are some cribs belonging to the army of King James the Conqueror.

HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE

   

      

The chuch of the Virgen de la Rosa, built in the 18th century, keeps a crucifix from the 18th century  and a carving statue  of the Virgen de la Rosa from the XVIth century.
