San Isidro Agricultural and Livestock fair.

Alfambra

2013 was the year of birth of the San Isidro de Alfambra   Agricultural and Livestock Fair. The festival, which originally arose motivated by the recovery of ancient agricultural traditions celebrated in the Alfambrina population, has become consolidated as a Fair.

At the beginning of May this celebration takes place, whose main objective is to serve as a meeting point for ranchers and farmers in the area. This type of fairs highlights the importance of the primary sector in our towns and enhances the knowledge of agricultural, livestock and traditional trades.

The fair is held in the Municipal Pavilion and surroundings.

We can find exhibitions of agricultural machinery, autonomous exhibitions of sheep, cattle, goats and poultry, cattle auctions or equestrian outings.

It is common to witness demonstrations of sheep shearing, herding dogs, falconry, etc.

The skill contest with tractor and trailer and the plowing contest are ancient traditions that have been recovered thanks to the efforts of young people from Alfambra.

All these events are accompanied by information sessions and technical conferences on agriculture and livestock.
